Louise Slatton, 80 - Travelers Rest

Louise (Green) Slatton, 80, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Hope, Health and Rehab of Marietta.

Born in Tuxedo, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Macey Turner Green. She worked in textiles most of her life and was a member of New Freedom Baptist Church.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Carl Franklin Slatton; 2 daughters: Portia Ann Broome (Larry) and Freda Quidley (Shawn); sister: Nancy Kellett; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Louise was predeceased by 2 sisters and 2 half-brothers.

The family will receive friends at The Howze Mortuary on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 from 1 until 1:50 p.m. Funeral service will follow the visitation in The Howze Mortuary Chapel at 2 p.m.

Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Portia and Larry Broome.
