Travelers Rest High School's D2 Stageworks wins awards

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — The Travelers Rest High School D2 Stageworks group earned an Excellent rating on their production of "The Trip to Bountiful" at the Palmetto Dramatic Association theatre festival, held last weekend at Dorman High School.  

Actors Joseph Sheehan and Lillie Kieken scored Excellent in individual awards for acting, and Jordan Lazar received an individual award rating of Superior and the Blair Beasley Award of Excellence, which is the top prize at the festival and comes with a $1000 scholarship.

In addition, the group earned the "Spirit of PDA" award for a fourth time in six years.​  

D2 Stageworks is directed by Tim Brown.
