Linda Joy Bierbaum, 68 - Travelers Rest

Linda Joy (Boyes) Bierbaum, 68, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016, at McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC.

Born in Dubuque, Iowa, she was the daughter of Alice Henker Boyes and the late Glenn Boyes. Linda was fortunate to be able to stay home and raise her two daughters and provide a loving and nurturing home for her family. Prior to being a homemaker, Linda was a math teacher and worked in the banking industry. She was of the Lutheran faith.

Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Kris Arthur Bierbaum of the home; daughters: Brooke Fleuette and her husband Bill of Aledo, IL and Holly Bowen and her husband Chris of Austin, TX; sister: Lisa Boyes of Grinnell, IA; brother: Jeff Boyes and his wife Martha of Clear Lake, IA; grandchildren: Brady and Brennan Fleuette.

A memorial service will be held at The Howze Mortuary Chapel on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. A gathering of family and friends will immediately follow the memorial service at the mortuary.

Burial will be private.

The family will be at the home.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29680.
