William Troy Willis, 71 - Travelers Rest

William Troy Willis, 71, of Travelers Rest, husband of Sandra Willis, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday, March 5, 2016.

Born in Travelers Rest, he was a son of the late James Paul Willis, Sr. and Orea Elder Willis.

Mr. Willis was a member and usher of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Easley. He retired from Michelin after 29 years.

In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, Mr. Willis is survived by a son, Shane Willis (Beth); a niece whom Troy and Sandra thought of as their own, Kim Johnson (Frank); and a sister, Doris Stroud (Woody); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Paul Willis, Jr. and Robert Allen Willis; and his pet, Evie.

A visitation will be held, Monday, March 7, 2016 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A funeral service will be held, Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be held in Mountain View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCalls Open Arms Hospice, 1836 W. Georgia Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680, or Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Rd, Easley, SC 29642.
