William Cunningham Sr., 71 - Marietta

William Harold Cunningham, Sr., 71, widower of Gwendolyn Matthews Cunningham, passed away April 17, 2016.

Born in Bristol, VA he was a son of the late Clarence Cunningham and Ruth Sutphin Loudy. Mr. Cunningham was the owner of Omega Construction, LLC, served in the US Air Force, and was a member of Mountain Bridge Bible Fellowship.

Surviving are seven daughters: Nancy Jones, Linda Medlin (Bobby), Tina Peterson (James), Sherry Banks (Gary), Christine Wells (Jerry), Nora Barringer, and Dee Ann Leazer (Randy); two sons: William H. Cunningham, Jr., and William Clarence Wells (Nicole); one brother: Ray Cunningham; special friends: Mike and Shelli Tardugno; and was loved by many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Allen Cunningham, and Donald Cunningham; two daughters: Janet Wells, and Donna Wells; and one great-grandson: Bryson Timms.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, in The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Coleman Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday evening, from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.
