Travelers Rest band earns 6th consecutive Outstanding Performance Award

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Travelers Rest High School Golden Regiment band members racked up an impressive 15 Superior and two Excellent ratings at this past weekend's State Solo and Ensemble Festival.

The band also earned the highest level award that is given by the State Director's Association each year, the Outstanding Performance Award. This marks the sixth consecutive time the group has won the prestigious award, which goes only to band programs that perform at the highest levels throughout the year.

The TRHS Golden Regiment is directed by Carl Wylie.
