No injuries reported after driver ends up in Furman fountain

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — No injuries were reported after a student drove a vehicle into a fountain on the Furman University campus Wednesday.

According to Furman Police Chief Tom Saccenti, the student was said to have been suffering from the flu and reportedly blacked out at the stop sign in front of the fountain.

The student was referred to the infirmary, and no alcohol was involved, Saccenti said.
