Mary Taylor Whitman - Slater

Mary Taylor Whitman of Slater went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2016. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Whitman, a daughter, Patsy Henderson; and a son, Robert Anthony Whitman.

Surviving Mrs. Whitman are two sons, Gilbert Whitman (Shirley) of Marietta, Eddie Whitman(Beverly) of Pickens; five daughters, Mary Jane Bridges and Kathy Clardy of Sumter, Judy McCarson ( Kenny) and Jean Wilson of Travelers Rest, Carol Pruitt ( Larry) of Greenville..

The family will receive friends Wednesday , June 8 at 1 PM at Peters Creek Baptist Church followed by a celebration of her life at 2 PM. Graveside service at church cemetery conducted by grandsons Ron Bridges and Chris Whitman.

Johnson Funeral Home (Travelers Rest) is assisting the family.
