Tuesday's local primary results here

TUESDAY'S LOCAL PRIMARY RESULTS:

• Sen. Tom Corbin (51.5%) defeated challenger John B. White Jr. (48.5%) to win the Republican primary for state Senate District 5.  Corbin is unopposed in the general election.

• Sen. Mike Fair (36.3%) and William Timmons (49.5%) will have a runoff primary on June 28 since no candidate received more than 50% of the vote. Johnny Edwards finished in third with 19.5%.

• Sheriff Steve Loftis (41%) and Will Lewis (19%) will have a runoff primary on June 28 since no candidate received more than 50% of the vote.
