Sylvia Goldsmith, 72 - Slater

Sylvia Lee Capps Goldsmith, 72, of Slater, passed away June 11, 2016.

Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Leota Pearl Cisson Capps. Mrs. Goldsmith was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-two years, Marvin Goldsmith; one son: Tommy Goldsmith (Mickie); two daughters: Betty Whitehouse (Darren), and Linda Goldsmith; six grandchildren: Noel, Anna, Jeffrey, Meghan, Dakota, and Alexis; six great-grandchildren: Madison, Jaden, River, Hunter, Amberlyn, and Sami; one sister: Pat Gilbert; and two special pets: Snoopy, and Chloe.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by two brothers: David and James Capps.

Graveside Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, at Mountain View Memorial Park. Burial will be in Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

The family will be at the home of a sister, Pat Gilbert.
