Mamie Adline Peahuff Tinsley, 90, of Travelers Rest, widow of John Elbert Tinsley, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 4, 2016 and is resting at peace.
Mamie was an only child born in Cedar Mountain, NC, and moved to SC with her family as a young girl. Being outdoors and gardening were her favorite hobbies. She was of the Baptist faith and will be missed greatly.
She is survived by her only son, John “Buck” Tinsley (Vicky) of Travelers Rest; two granddaughters, Sheila Goode of Greer and Melissa Tinsley of Travelers Rest; two grandsons, Justin Tinsley (Becky) and Alan Tinsley both of Travelers Rest; and five great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park.
