Mary Ann Johnson, 73 - Travelers Rest

Mary Ann Johnson, 73, of Travelers Rest went home to be with her Savior on July 19, 2016. She was the daughter of Joe M. Johnson and Bessie Irene Poole. She was the owner of Johnson Funeral Home in Travelers Rest.

She was much loved and had devoted her life to helping others. She attended Furman University and was very active in her church, teaching, singing and studying God’s Word. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was also past president and member of the Slater-Marietta Lions Club.

She is survived by two sisters, Sybil Dinwiddie and Gracie Cochran; one sister-in-law, Jean Johnson; and a number of nieces and nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23rd at noon with visitation preceding from 10:00AM to 11:30AM at Travelers Rest First Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Mountain View Memorial Park in Travelers Rest. She will be available for viewing on Friday from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home for those unable to attend the service.
