Flora Batson Styles, 102 - Travelers Rest

Flora Batson Styles, of Travelers Rest, 102, went to be with the Lord and family on Friday, September 2, 2016.

Born February 18, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Addie Riddle Batson. Mrs. Styles was a lifelong member of Enoree Baptist Church where she served faithfully for many years. She was an active member of her community and service organizations. She was a caregiver to many throughout the years. Those who were privileged to know her were blessed by her benevolence and generosity. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a devoted wife and mother, and is survived by two sons-in-law: Joel Burgess, and Ken Garland; grandchildren: Robin Blakemore (Blake), Kelly Drew (Richard), Joel Burgess, Jr. (Jennifer), Todd Garland (Dr. Jennifer), and Beth Garland; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband: Homer Styles; and two daughters: Linda S. Garland, and Ann S. Burgess.

Funeral services will be 2:45 p.m. Sunday at Enoree Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Enoree Baptist Church.
