T&S Brass receives Workforce Development Award
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — T&S Brass and Bronze Works was recognized with a Workforce Development Award from Greenville Tech Foundation for contributions and support that have advanced the development of educational opportunities for students across the Upstate.
“T&S is proud to support Greenville Technical College in opening doors and creating possibilities for students in our area. Greenville Tech is an integral part of our community, and we’re honored to partner with the school to ensure a bright and successful future for Greenville,” said Claude Theisen, owner of T&S.
The Workforce Development Award honors individuals and organizations that support Greenville Tech’s efforts to develop a skilled labor pool for Greenville’s growing business economy.
T&S Brass provides a scholarship for one student from every public high school in Greenville County to attend Greenville Tech and has donated plumbing products to college, including the Northwest Campus and the Center for Manufacturing Innovation.
T&S Brass, along with John I. Smith Charities and former Simpsonville mayor Ralph Hendricks, was recognized at an awards ceremony on October 27 by Greenville Tech Foundation, which provides financial support to the college and students.
T&S Brass is a leading manufacturer of faucets, fittings and specialty products for the foodservice, industrial, commercial plumbing and laboratory markets. Founded in 1947, T&S has made its home in Greenville County since 1978.
