Business Beat: Best Western opens in Travelers Rest

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Having undergone a $1.5 million renovation, the former Sleep Inn on Hawkins Road in Travelers Rest has reopened under a new owner and a new brand.

Now operating under the Best Western flag, the 60-room, pet-friendly hotel features completely renovated and refurnished rooms and common areas, new pool, new dining area with complimentary hot breakfast, state-of-the-art fitness room, outdoor fire pit, new landscaping and more, according to owner and general manager Mike Patel.

"We are excited to be a part of the Travelers Rest community," Patel said, adding that he and his family recently located here as well.
