River Falls FD receives $2K to implement emergency reporting system
RIVER FALLS, S.C. — River Falls Fire Dept. recently received a check for more than $1,900 to help implement an automatic emergency reporting system.
The check was presented to River Falls FD chairman Hollis Wilson by Greenville County Councilman Joe Dill, who was able to provide the funds from his in-district expense account.
The new system will meet FEMAs yearly reporting requirements which must be completed to be able to apply for federal grants. Additionally, the system has the capability to provide automatic insurance company reporting, allowing for the collection of reimbursements for emergency services that are already being performed, according to Slater-Marietta Fire Chief Marion Cruell, who helped introduce the system and funding options to River Falls officials.
