Travelers Rest Goodwill now open

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — At 9 a.m. on Thurs., Dec. 8th, Goodwill Industries of Upstate/Midlands SC opened the doors to its new store and Job Connection at 1 Krieger Drive in Travelers Rest.

The 20,000 square foot facility, located at the intersection of Krieger Drive and Little Texas Road, will house a Goodwill retail store, donation center, and Goodwill Job Connection.  A total of 28 people will be employed at the new location.

This location will include the sixth Job Connection in Greenville County and the first in Travelers Rest. Goodwill Job Connections provide free assistance to help job seekers connect with potential employers and find permanent employment. Services include access to resources like computers and the Internet, fax machines, telephones, and job leads and referrals. A trained employment specialist is on site to assist individuals with their job search.

Goodwill also provides job training programs to help people gain the skills needed to begin careers in manufacturing, food service, retail, construction, and as Certified Nurse Aides. The Job Connection will have a training room that can be used for industry-specific programs and job fairs.
