Janet Fowler, 72 - Travelers Rest

Janet Marie Gibson Fowler, 72, of Travelers Rest, wife of the late Harvey L. Fowler passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016, at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late, Howard and Viola Gutowsky Gibson. Mrs. Fowler was a caregiver to all. She worked hard in life, but her most favorite job was being a mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are her two daughters, Kim Hagin Green and her husband Kenneth and Christine Hagin Bowen; four grandchildren, Krystal Hawkins Capps (Chris), Travis D. Hawkins (Tiffany), Tymmi Green Clayton (Matt) and Kaleb Green (Lauren); great grandchildren, Kayleigh Gardner, Kaitlyn Gardner, Mati Clayton, a foster great granddaughter and two great grandchildren on the way.

In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Chase Bowen.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM Thursday at the mortuary prior to the service.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Kim Green.
