Dock Hart, 89 - Cleveland
Dock Cecil Hart, 89, of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on December 5, 2016.
Born Feb. 2, 1927 in Hart County, GA, he was a son of the late Dock Jackson and Etta L. Hart. Mr. Hart was a Security Guard, served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was of the Baptist Faith. He was the last surviving member of his family.
Surviving are two daughters: Shirley Shelton, of NJ, and Donna Yates (David), of Marietta; two sons: Leon Hart (Peggy), of Greenville, and David Hart (Mary), of Cleveland; ten grandchildren: twelve great-grandchildren: and many beloved friends, who over the years became family. We want to say thank you to each of these special people.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one son: Kenneth Hart; twelve brothers and sisters: and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday afternoon in the Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Cleveland First Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at The Howze Mortuary.
The family will be at the home of a niece, Kathy Gilbert.
