Ring in the new year with a Paris Mountain State Park 'Paris Plunge'
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Organized by Paris Mountain State Park Friends, the annual Paris Plunge will be held at 1:17 p.m. on Jan. 1, 2017. Now in its sixth year, the event helps to raise money for the park, including its array of educational programs.
The park says hundreds are expected to participate in what is called a “soul-cleansing dip in the frigid waters.”
Entry fees are $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 10 (enter “Childunder10” in discount code). Long Sleeve Polar Plunge T-shirts will be available for $20 (limited supply).
Costumes are encouraged. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories.
Event day registration begins at 11:30 on 1/1/17 at the Park Center. The plunge will be held rain or shine.
