Bruce Nicholson, 76 - Travelers Rest

James “Bruce” Nicholson, 76, of Travelers Rest, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Regency Hospital in Greenville.

Born in Oconee County, he was a son of the late Cleveland and Stella McCoy Nicholson. He was a retired cobbler, a U.S. Army veteran, and was a member and deacon of Belvue Baptist church.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Loretta Broom Nicholson; daughter: Tammy Stiwinter(Rusty); son: Dennis Nicholson; brother: Aaron Neil Nicholson(Mary); grandchildren: Jeffrey Stiwinter, Ashley Stiwinter; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1pm until 2pm at Belvue Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2pm at Belvue Baptist Church with burial to follow at Mountain View Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Lung Association, 2030 N. Church Place, Spartanburg, SC 29303.

The family will be at his home.
