New cigar shop opens on Main Street in Travelers Rest

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — With the opening of a new cigar shop in Travelers Rest, area cigar aficionados no longer need to leave town in search of their favorite blend.

FH Cigars, located at 128 S. Main St., features a 450-square-foot, walk-in humidor that's currently stocked with a wide array of premium cigars from countries like Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Honduras.

The shop is co-owned by Travelers Rest residents Adam Fitzpatrick and Sean Hamilton, who both dove into cigars a little over a year ago.

"Cigar smoking really opens up the ability to be around different people who share a common interest," Fitzpatrick said.

And after spending time at other Upstate cigar shops, the duo said they both felt that the timing was "optimal" to open something in town.

"We love the industry and we dove into it 100 percent," Hamilton said.

After browsing the humidor at FH Cigars, customers can enjoy their purchase in an outdoor smoking patio area, something Fitzpatrick and Hamilton say they plan on expanding and covering/enclosing before spring.

FH Cigars is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
