Karl Hilterbrandt, 56 - Travelers Rest
Karl Eugene Hilterbrandt, 56, of Travelers Rest, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017, at his home.
Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Orville Beufort Hilterbrandt and Emma Lorraine Harris. Mr. Hilterbrandt was the owner of A-1 Painting and Specialized Coatings for over twenty years, was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for Slater-Marietta Fire Department for twenty-three years, and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his wife: Kimberly Robertson Garzone-Hilterbrandt; two daughters: Shawna Hilterbrandt, and Alexis Baker; one son: Brandon Hilterbrandt; two brothers: Roger Hilterbrandt (Angela), and Bennie Alverson; and two sisters: Sheila Swackhammer (Brian), and Debra Ramsey.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Karen Hilterbrandt.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, with Fire Fighter honors from Slater-Marietta Fire Department, at Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary, prior to the graveside service.
The family would like to invite everyone who is in attendance for the graveside service, to the Slater-Marietta Fire Department, 3001 Geer Hwy., for fellowship afterwards. Parking will be in the back, and the fellowship will be downstairs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605.
