Albert Swan, 95 - Travelers Rest

Albert Swan, 95, of Travelers Rest, widower of Alice Sweet Swan, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at McCall Hospice House.

Born in Greer, he was a son of the late Charlie and Annie Mae Redding Swan. Mr. Swan served in the US Army, and retired from Woodside Mill. He was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Surviving are three daughters: Jeanette Arms, Vickie Pressley (Lloyd), and Kay Swan (Fiance’ Kenneth Pruitt); one son: Robert Darnell (Dorothy); two brothers: Ansell Swan, and Robert Swan; twelve grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife and parents, he was predeceased by one son: Ronnie Swan; three sisters; and seven brothers.

Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Sunday at The Howze Mortuary.

The family will be at the home of a daughter, Vickie Pressley.
