Jimmy Burnette, 68 - Travelers Rest

Jimmy Roger Burnette, 68, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2017 at his home.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Clarence M. and Mildred Garland Burnette. Jimmy was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of Hilltop Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife: Harriett Bonham Burnette; stepsons: Steven (Tralane) Burdette and Gene (Amy) Burdette; sister: Vickie (Bob) Bode; brother: Floyd “Toby” (Sandra) Burnette; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by a brother Steve Burnette.

Visitation will be Monday, February 6, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary. Funeral service will follow in The Howze Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will be at Mountain View Memorial Park Cemetery in Travelers Rest.
