Travelers Rest councilmembers approve first votes on new city hall, police department

(Update): In a unanimous vote at Thursday night's council meeting, Travelers Rest councilmembers voted to approve the first readings of two ordinances authorizing bond issuance for the construction of a new city hall and police department complex. The second and final votes will take place at the April council meeting. (Read more about the project and associated costs here.)

Voting for: Councilmembers Rick Floyd, Steve Waddell, Jeff George, Grant Bumgarner, Mayor Wayne McCall, Mayor Pro Tem Brandy Amidon, and Rebecca Cooper

Absent: Councilmembers Harvey Choplin and Kelly Byers

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – Travelers Rest City Council will hold their monthly meeting beginning at 6 p.m. on Thurs., March 16.

Of note, councilmembers will vote take the first of two votes on two measures that authorize bond issuance for the construction of a new city hall and police department complex.
