Local students awarded Foothills Scholarship

TIGERVILLE, S.C. —Two area students have been awarded the Foothills Scholarship by North Greenville University.

Recipients are chosen on the basis of academic achievement as well as school, church, and community involvement.

Elizabeth Duncan, a homeschooled senior, and Riley Rucci, a senior at Greer Middle College Charter High School, received the award and have been accepted into the Class of 2021. Both students plan to enroll in August.

Duncan is the daughter of Anthony and Sharon Duncan, of Travelers Rest.

Rucci is the son of Rob and Marybeth Rucci, of Cleveland.  

With satisfactory academic progress, this scholarship will guarantee $48,000 over the course of four years of attendance at North Greenville University, according to school officials.
