Construction would be complete around September, Richards said.
The nearly 5,000 square foot restaurant is slated to be built on Benton Road, near Wal-Mart and in between Arby's and CVS.
The Travelers Rest location will be operated by Steven Bryant, the Chick-fil-A franchisee that along with his team operates the popular Chick-fil-A Cherrydale location. The Cherrydale location is currently undergoing a complete renovation and will reopen soon.
