Lloyd Ross Cato Sr., 92 - Travelers Rest

Lloyd Ross Cato, Sr., 92, husband of the late Bessie Christine Black Cato, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at The Arboretum of the Woodlands at Furman in Greenville, SC.

Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Claude Franklin, Sr. and Mamie Irene Long Cato. Mr. Cato was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran; he was self employed and was the owner of, Cato Trailer; Greenville Mack Sales and Cato Transportation in Greenville. He was also an active church member at Travelers Rest United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons: Lloyd (Kathy) Cato, Jr. of Hampton, VA and Harry (Kris) Cato of Columbia, SC; daughters: Ernie Brown of Travelers Rest, SC and Cindy (Earl) Quarles of Ninety Six, SC; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Funeral service will be Monday, May 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Travelers Rest United Methodist Church. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at the church Family Life Center.

Private burial will be at the church cemetery.
