Jerry Plumley, 57 - Travelers Rest
Jerry Scotty Plumley, 57, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 18, 2017 while vacationing at Orchard Lake Campground in Saluda, NC.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Toll Garrison and Estelle (Howard) Plumley. Scotty was a 1978 graduate of Blue Ridge High School and a 32 year employee with the Greenville Water Works and was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving is his wife of 28 years, Joy Ann (Mahaffey) Plumley; sons: Caleb Scott Plumley of the home; daughter: Hannah Joy Plumley of the home; sisters: Earleen Center of Travelers Rest; Susan Voyles and husband Ron of Travelers Rest and Mary Lou Plumley of Travelers Rest; brothers: Toll R. Plumley, Jr. and wife Gwen of Marietta and James Eugene Plumley of Taylors;
sister-in-law: Elizabeth Howard of Travelers Rest; father and mother-in-law: Bobby Eugene and Jewell (Evans) Mahaffey of Travelers Rest; family friend: Fran Tipton of Travelers Rest and many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Scotty was predeceased by a brother: Donald Howard.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 1 until 1:50 p.m. at the Howze Mortuary. Funeral service will follow the visitation in The Howze Mortuary Chapel at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will be at North Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of his sister, Mary Lou Plumley.
