Janice Sparks, 64 - Travelers Rest

Janice Rebecca Mills Sparks, 64, of Travelers Rest, passed away peacefully following a short battle with lung cancer, Friday, May 26, 2017.

Born in Morganton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles William and Anna Lee Parkins Mills. She was an office administrator for Meridian Dyed Yarn, in Valdese, NC.

Surviving are one son: Phillip Sparks (Kayla); one daughter: Amy Dotson (Charley); one brother: Ronald Mills (Wanda); three grandchildren: Zane Sparks, Neyland Dotson, and Knox Dotson; former husband: Bob Sparks; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017 in The Howze Mortuary Chapel.

The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Phillip and Kayla Sparks.
