Joyce Spooner, 75 - Travelers Rest

Joyce Morgan Spooner, 75, of Travelers Rest, wife of the late Robert M. Spooner, III, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Games Gates and Marie Southerlin Morgan. Mrs. Spooner attended Paris High School, and was part of the last graduating class in 1960. She was a homemaker, and a lab technician with CH Patrick as well with Fiber Industry. She was a faithful member of New Liberty Baptist Church in Travelers Rest. She was married to Robert M. Spooner, III for 53 years, and they both were members of Chapter E Gold Wings for over 40 years.

Surviving is her son: Robbie Spooner (Christy); one grandchild: Maghan Olivia Spooner; one brother: Leon Morgan (Jewel); a special neighbor: Paula Baker (Warren); and her loving granddog: Roxy.

Visitation will be held Monday evening 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. at The Howze Mortuary.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, in The Howze Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
