According to Principal Lou Lavely, the teen was a student at Travelers Rest High School and was not at school today.

In a prerecorded message to parents, Lavely said there was no information that the event was related to the school, but additional personnel would be on the campus on Friday "out of an abundance of caution". (Listen to the entire message here.)
