Glassy Mountain FD to host Meet the Candidates event

LANDRUM S.C. — Glassy Mountain Fire Department will host a Meet the Candidates event on Thurs., Nov. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the headquarters station, located at 2015 Highway 11. 

Four Glassy Mountain Fire Service Area Board of Commission candidates are vying for four openings.

The candidates are:

William (Bill) Atkins, Landrum, SC
Richard E Baker, Travelers Rest, SC (incumbent)
Richard (Dick) Dusa, Travelers Rest, SC
Andrea L. Martin, Travelers Rest, SC

Leaving the board are:

Dennis Geagan, Landrum, SC
William (Bill) Brodie, Travelers Rest, SC
Jewell Bayne, Travelers Rest, SC
Richard (Dick) Baker (Running for re-election)
