Charles Hudson, 76 - Travelers Rest

Charles Douglas Hudson, 76, of Travelers Rest, husband of Ann S. Hudson, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Wallace T. Hudson and Viola N. Hudson. Mr. Hudson was a retired auto repair shop owner and a barbecue caterer. He was a member of Locust Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Hudson was an avid turkey and deer hunter and was well known in many states for his turkey call making.

In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by a son, Dr. James W. Hudson (Jenny) and a daughter, Jody H. Dix (Travis); 5 grandchildren, Chase, Addie & Alexis Hudson and Hudson & Hawke Dix; a sister, Margaret Johnson (Bob); brothers-in-law, Larry Southern (Rebecca) and Gary Southern (Jenger) along with many loving nieces & nephews, special friends and his church family.

Funeral services will be held at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Locust Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2:30 PM at the church prior to the service.
