Rosalie Hart, 100 - Travelers Rest
Rosalie Sanders Hart, 100, wife of the late Theron Earl Hart, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at The Arboretum at The Woodlands at Furman.
Born in Marietta, SC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Mildred Jackson Sanders. Rosalie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many over the years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Travelers Rest and the Ruth Sunday School Class.
Rosalie is survived by her 2 daughters: Patricia Hart Cooper and husband Mays of Travelers Rest, Kathy Hart Poe and husband Jim of Travelers Rest; 2 sons: Theron Earl Hart, Jr. of Aiken, SC and Steven Styles Hart and wife Bea of Aiken, SC; sister: Kathryn S. Edwards of Clemson, SC; 8 grandchildren: Chris Cooper, Todd Cooper and wife Cathy, Micah Porter and wife Jennifer, Matt Porter, Evan Halberg, Derrek Halberg and wife Christy, Shannon Major and husband Gene, Erin Benfield and husband Justin; 8 great-grandchildren: Wade Cooper, Addyson Cooper, Patricia Cooper, Caden Halberg, Nora Halberg, Maddison Benfield, Grayson Benfield and Ellison Porter along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Rosalie was predeceased by 7 sisters: Elizabeth S. Albright, Pauline S. Robertson, Mildred S. Bennett, Mary S. Crawford, Jessie S. Saxon, Lucille S. Dobbs and Lois S. Keith; 2 brothers: John Henry Sanders and B.H. “Bud” Sanders.
Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon, November 8, 2017 from 1 until 1:50 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Travelers Rest. Funeral service will follow the visitation in the church sanctuary at 2:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Enoree Baptist Church Cemetery in Travelers Rest, SC.
The family will be at the home of Kathy and Jim Poe.
