Update: Travelers Rest Christmas Parade cancelled due to inclement weather

UPDATE: The Travelers Rest Christmas Parade scheduled for Saturday morning has been cancelled due to inclement weather, according to organizers. No make up date is planned.


TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – The annual Travelers Rest Christmas Parade will be held on Sat., Dec. 9 beginning at 10 a.m.

The theme for this year's parade is "The Carols of Christmas."

Parade Date/Time: Saturday, Dec. 9 at 10 a.m.

Parade Route: The parade will travel from South Main St. and Roe Rd., north on Main St. to Center St., east to Poinsett Hwy., east to Hawkins Dr., east to Plaza Dr. and south to Poplar St. (Map below.)

Parade Forecast: Mostly sunny, with highs in the 40s.

Traffic Alert: Main Street will close at 9:50 a.m. and will not reopen until the last entry exits Main Street. Once the parade starts, some areas around town will become very congested and patience will be needed.
