NGU holds 27th annual Crusader Club Golf Classic

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. – More than 30 teams participated in North Greenville University's 27th annual Crusader Club Golf Classic, held on April 22 at the Cliffs-Valley course.

The event raises over $80,000 annually to provide scholarships for North Greenville University student-athletes.

The first place gross team award was presented to the Dr. Pepper team. Team members were Randy Keeler, Rick Keeler, Kerry Palmer and Tom Roose. The first place net team honor was awarded to the GHS/Steadman Hawkins team. The team consisted of Darren Holmes, Jay Rowell, Amberly Steele and John Thorpe.

Pat Morris from the Pepsi team won a Pontiac Grand-Am on a closest to the pin hole. Morris donated the car back to the school for its use and received a $1,500 cash prize.

The tournament sponsors for this year’s Classic were Dick Brooks Honda, SAM Group, Inc. and The Cliffs.
