Pearson named Miss NGU 2018

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – Valerie Bostick, Miss North Greenville University 2017, passed her crown to Hannah Pearson from Simpsonville at the 63rd annual Miss NGU Pageant on Friday, Jan. 12 in Turner Chapel.
Pearson, also given the physical fitness award, won a $1,000 scholarship and will compete this summer in the Miss South Carolina Pageant.

The first runner-up and talent honors went to Ashley Campbell from Moore, Ciera Hedrick, also from Moore was second runner-up. Brianna Mann from Norwalk, CT placed third and Harleigh Morrissey from Duncan, placed fourth. Non-finalist contestant Faith Yeargin from Piedmont was awarded the community spirit award.
Contestants were judged according to a private interview, sportswear/physical fitness, onstage questions, artistic expression, and presence and poise. The interview portion of the competition was completed prior to the pageant ceremony.
