Slater Hall to host play festival, 'Frog Prince' auditions

SLATER-MARIETTA, S.C. — The Slater Hall Citizens' Committee is hosting a short play festival and will be holding auditions for an upcoming performance of "The Frog Prince."

The Committee is seeking up to six performing groups to participate in a contest to produce a short subject play. The plays will be performed on March 24 (note new date) at 7:00pm. The groups will be competing for a prize of $100. Scores will be based on audience response and technical elements.

"The Frog Prince"

Auditions for the musical "The Frog Prince" will be held on Fri., Feb. 2 from 1pm to 3pm. The Committee is seeking several roles that can be male or female of any age. Rehearsal will typically be held on Tuesdays and Thursday with some exceptions. Productions will be on April 27 and 28 at 7:30pm and April 29 at 3:00pm. Interested persons should have a short monologue and a short acapella music piece prepared for the audition.
