Gunmen break into Greenville County home, tie up residents, demand cash

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — Greenville County Sheriff’s Office deputies are investigating a home invasion involving two armed suspects that occurred in northern Greenville County early Monday morning.

According to Sgt. Ryan Flood, deputies responded to a home on Lauren Kay Road (located off Hwy. 25 just south of the Hwy. 11 interchange) around 2 a.m. and learned that at around 1:45 a.m. the occupants inside the residence were awakened and confronted by at least 2 suspects armed with guns.

The suspects held the residents at gunpoint, tied them up, and demanded cash, Flood said.

The suspects left the scene in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash. 

One of the victim’s suffered minor injuries as a result.

Investigators are requesting that anyone with information regarding this case to call Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 23-CRIME.
