Nellie Mae Blevins Poole, 87, of Marietta, wife of the late Broadus H. Poole, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown.
Born in Edwright, WV, she was a daughter of the late Winfred and Mae Estelle Boggs Blevins. Mrs. Poole worked at J.P. Stevens Slater Plant, she retired from J.P. Stevens, Monaghan Plant; she worked at the Wal-Mart Jewelry Counter after retirement and was a member of Marietta First Baptist Church and the Naomi Sunday School Class.
Surviving are five children, Linda Poole Rollins (John), Ronnie Poole( Margie), Robert Poole, Brian Poole (Candy), Kim Poole Haulter (Jimmy); two sisters, Virginia Baxley-Drake and Sparkle Blevins-Bates (Harold); a brother, Ralph Blevins (Selba); a sister-in-law, Merle Blevins; six grandchildren, James Rollins, Andi Rollins Cheslak, Alison Poole Taylor, Jonathan Poole, Tristin Poole and Zoie Poole and four great-grandchildren, Andreas Rollins, Hunter Cheslak, Gavin Taylor and Maddox Taylor.
In addition to her parents and husband she was predeceased by a sister, Reba Blevins Fairey and two brothers, Ronald Blevins and Roy Blevins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Marietta First Baptist Church with burial to follow in Mountain View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7 PM Friday evening at The Howze Mortuary.
The family will be at the home of Kim and Jimmy Haulter.
