City of Travelers Rest seeks grass mowing bids

The City of Travelers Rest will accept sealed bids through April 16, 2018, at 2:00 pm for the cutting of grass within:

Description of work:

(1) the median of US Highway 25 and the shoulders of US 25 on both the northbound and southbound lanes within the City limits of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; and

(2) the shoulders of both sides of SC Highway 276 within the City Limits of Travelers Rest South Carolina.

The first cutting will occur between April 17, 2018, and May 15, 2018, with other cuttings of grass to occur every 2 to 3 weeks as needed until November 1, 2018.

Liability Insurance: A bidder must file proof of liability insurance of $500,000.00 with the bid of demonstrate that liability insurance will be effective in the event that the bidder is successful.

Contract to Be Signed: The successful bidder will be expected to enter into a contract with the city of Travelers Rest concerning the work to be performed. The contract can be reviewed at Travelers Rest City Hall, located at 6711 State Park Rd., Travelers Rest, SC, 29690. A prospective bidder will be mailed a copy of the contract if a request is made to Phillip Tate, public works director for the city of Travelers Rest 864-834-7958.

Bid Valid Period: No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the designated time for receiving bids.

Bid Opening: Bids will be received at City Hall located at 6711 State Park Rd., Travelers Rest, SC, 29690, until 2 pm on April 16, 2018, at which time they will be opened and read aloud in public.
