Edward Kelly, 70 - Travelers Rest

Edward C. Kelly, 70, of Travelers Rest, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at his home.

Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of Georgia Faye Sosebee Kelly and the late Edward C. Kelly, Sr. He went to work with CSX as a locomotive engineer in August of 1967, and after retiring from there went to work for Wilson/Hajek Law Firm. He was a member of Renfrew Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Shirley Anne Poole Kelly; son: Ed Kelly(Stephanie); daughter: Nita Kelly Boyter; grandchildren: Dalton Kelly and his fiancée Samantha Hammond, Ashley Kelly Nadolny(Brandon), Ensley Boyter; brothers: Rev. Johnny Kelly(Carol), Mark Kelly(Tammy), Gary Kelly; sister: Jean Kelly(Jim); godsons: Randall Coleman, Thomas Coleman; goddaughters: Emily Coleman, Katie Coleman; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Along with his father he was predeceased by a brother Terry Kelly.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 5pm until 6pm at Renfrew Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 6pm at Renfrew Baptist Church.

Burial will be private.

The family will be at his home.
