Florida man dies following Highway 25 wreck

TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A 45-year-old Florida man died following a wreck on U.S. Hwy. 25 early Thursday morning, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office.

Thomas Daniel Cox II, of Penellas Park, was traveling southbound around 1 a.m. when he ran off the roadway near Tigerville Road and struck a parked semi-truck.

Cox was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he later died, succumbing to injuries sustained in the crash.
