Anibal Gonzalez, 70, of Travelers Rest and Puerto Rico was born on January 21, 1948 in Jayuya, Puerto Rico. He was the seventh child born to the late Jose Gonzalez and Lucia Gonzalez.
Anibal received his education in Puerto Rico and thereafter he met and fell in love with Nancy Roundy. They married in 1970 and their union produced fifteen children: Patricia, Belina, Lucy, Benny, Jose, Mama, Macho, Milagros, Flor, Rosa, Victor, Celestino, Gonzalo, Angela, and Cesto.
Anibal worked several jobs including at a flower nursery, farmer, glass factory, and mechanic. He was also a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He loved watching wrestling and his western shows with favorites being Roy Rogers, Bonanza, and The Lone Ranger. He loved listening to his music and spending time with his family which gave him the most joy.
He is survived by his 8 daughters: Patricia, Belina, Lucy, Benny, Mama, Milagros, Rosa, Angela; 7 sons: Jose, Macho, Flor, Victor, Celestino, Gonzalo, Cesto; 52 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Along with his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Roundy Gonzalez, 2 brothers and a granddaughter, Annika Serenity.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, May 19th, 2018 from 1pm until 3pm at The Howze Mortuary.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon May 19th, 2018 at 3pm at The Howze Mortuary chapel with burial to be private.
The family will be at the home of his daughter Almonica Molina 606 Tubbs Mt. Rd. Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
