Robert Taylor, Travelers Rest

Robert Aaron Taylor, husband of Elizabeth Batson Taylor, of Travelers Rest, died Thursday, May 31, 2018.

Born in Travelers Rest, he was the son of the late James E. Taylor and Grace Darnell Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a retired Corporal with the SC Highway Patrol and a member of Mountain View United Methodist Church. 

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by a daughter, Karen Gravely (John); three grandchildren, two great grandchildren; siblings, Powe Taylor (Merilus), Atha Hancox-Pegram (Dave), Joseph Taylor (Methel), Ruth Hollingsworth (Billy). 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor is preceded in death by his siblings, Ellon Ramey, Sheilds Taylor, Bud Taylor, Charles Taylor and John Taylor.

The visitation will be held Sunday, June 3, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be Monday, June 4, at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial will be held in Mountain View Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
