"While I was eligible for retirement in December of 2016, this decision was not made lightly, as I have grown to love and respect the Travelers Rest community and the public servants who give their all to its safety and well-being," Crowe said. "My time in Travelers Rest now makes up more than half of my law enforcement career."

The official retirement date will be Sept. 13, 2018, according to a media release. Crowe has accepted an offer to be the firm administrator for a CPA firm in Greenville.
