Patrick Gerald Hawkins, 72 - Travelers Rest

Patrick Gerald Hawkins, 72, of Travelers Rest, died Friday September 14, 2018.

Born in Bay County, Florida, he was predeceased by his father Wallace Hawkins, mother Reba Hood, a brother Michael Hawkins, and his first wife, Betty Deuerling Hawkins.

Patrick was known as an entrepreneur. He enjoyed working with manufacturing, sales and was also the former owner of a boat dealership. Patrick enjoyed racing boats, fishing, water skiing, camping and most all outdoor activities.

He is survived by his beloved wife Bridget, a sister Joy Walker and a brother Joel Hawkins. Patrick is also survived by his daughter, Christina Young, two sons James Hawkins (Wendy) and Joseph Hawkins and step son Chad Massey (Jennifer). Also surviving are grandchildren Kent Young (Alexis), Caine Young, Mercedes Young, Lauryn Hawkins, Bailey Hawkins and Lucas Mast. Surviving great grandchildren, Blake, Ian, Farrah, Sophie and Alex.

Patrick will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life in his Memory will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Travelers Rest Funeral Home (113 N. Poinsett Hwy., Travelers Rest, SC) from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. The family will receive friends at that time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
