TRAVELERS REST, S.C. — A teenager was killed following a single vehicle wreck on Hwy. 25 in Travelers Rest late Saturday night.

Jessica Faye Adaline Adams, a 17-year-old senior at Pickens High School, was the front-seat passenger in a vehicle that overturned near the Travelers Rest Speedway after the driver lost control and crossed the center line, according to Greenville County Coroner B. Parks Evans.

Adams, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle. She was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she later died from her injuries, Evans said.

Adams was one of five occupants in the vehicle. Other passengers included two 13-year-olds and a 20-year-old.

The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Madison Bagwell, was charged with one count of felony DUI with death, two counts of felony DUI with great bodily injury, one count of child endangerment and one count of possession of marijuana, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.
